Endangered Species
March 27, 2007 at 8:10 am | In Uncategorized | 3 CommentsEndangered species are species of animals that face a very close risk of becoming extinct. There is an Act that protects these animals to allow them a fighting chance for survival but apparently there now are some people hoping to change that.
Read this quote carefully: “The proposed changes fundamentally gut the intent of the Endangered Species Act,” says Jan Hasselman, a Seattle attorney with Earthjustice, an environmental law firm, who helped Salon interpret the proposal. “This is a no-holds-barred end run around one of America’s most popular environmental protections. If these regulations stand up, the act will no longer provide a safety net for animals and plants on the brink of extinction.”
Why would we purposely want to kill of an entire species of plants or animals. We should be saving what we have here on earth.
How do you feel about this?

I think it is so wrong to even think to wipe out animals. I don’t understand why people are thinking of doing this. How would they feel if they decided to wipe out the whole human race?

This is terrible. We always have all this talk about environmental awareness, and now you hear things like this. It’s obvious you’re educated about this stuff from your discussion starter and this blog, good for you. Makes me want to check into this stuff more.

Plants and animals are one of the most important aspects of this earth. What need would we have to kill them? I think we should let the earth stay as it is, endangered animals should be protected. What happens when its too late and all of our plants and animals were to be destroyed? We need them to survive and should do all in out power to protect our earth.
